Boekenoogen Wines Title

Boekenoogen Immigrants

Boekenoogen Vineyard was established in 1997 when John Boekenoogen realized his property's true potential. He took his cattle ranch, that has been in the family for five generations, and transformed it into a vineyard which produces exceptionally high quality wine grapes.

Below are production and tasting notes for our current varietals and vintages which includes Pinot Noirs, Syrahs, Chardonnays as well as a Viognier.

Boekenoogen 2007 Chardonnay
Boekenoogen 2008
Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay
Barrel Fermented

CELLAR TASTING NOTES
Aromatic   Notes of Clove and bright pineapple enveloped in subtle, toasted oak.
Flavor   Sweet yeasty vanillin flavors balanced against edgy acidity.
Finish    This wine was designed to age gracefully and as such, needs some time after opening to "breathe" before it will show its many layers of complexity. A bit closed at this writing it will benefit with an additional 6 - 12 months of bottle aging. Try with Blue Cheese / Roquefort or Salmon sauteed with lemon and capers.

to nice acid brightness and begs for friendly food accompaniment.
